About Me!

Wow! Thanks for visiting this page! I am a passionate Game Designer with now over 2+ years of professional experience. Having graduated from the Honors Bachelor of Game Design program at Sheridan College, I have a large, multidisciplinary skill-set adaptable to any project. Competitive by nature, I am always looking to improve and surpass my own limits. This translates to my hobbies in eSports and professional experience!

In my spare time, I work on personal game projects or creating hobbyist video essays critiquing various games & their designs. I love writing and/or talking about anything games. It’s an endless topic I find to be thoroughly fascinating. I believe Games are the pinnacle of artistic pursuits due to their intrinsic humanistic interfacing. I am constantly taking memos about cool features, mechanics, or anything noteworthy in games I play.

My personal favorite game is NieR: Automata, which caught me so off-guard with its philosophical undertones that both compliment yet contrast the aesthetic and general presentation of the game. It became such a driving force behind my love of games that I have a tattoo on my arm of the character Emil. I think of it as a reminder of why I am making games, and the power this medium has to resonate with people. I created a Video Essay called: “NieR: Automata is a game that…” which outlines my difficulty defining an individual aspect of the game that elevates it above its contemporaries.

Outside of games, I am really into fitness and adventuring! I love to explore new locations and meet new people! Humans are fascinating, and I find myself ever curious to dissect the paradoxical paradigm humans exist in. The connections and memories we forge with others are a way to live beyond our years. The saying: ‘You only die when you’re forgotten’ is a maxim I live by. Thus, I do my best to make a positive connection with as many people as I’m fortunate to cross paths with!

Mission Statement

My goal as a Game Designer is to build games that foster passionate communities. The passion that drives me to pursue Game Design is the same passion that I want to inspire future aspiring game developers with. I hope to express this passion through my work to someday see this mission through.

I am continually learning and improving my technical skills. There is so much to learn in this life, and I aim to seek as much of it as I can. I never settle and will always strive to be the best I can be!

My Skills

Game & Narrative Design are major parts of my life. I have now worked professionally as a game designer on multiple projects within and adjacent to the games’ industry throughout my educational and working career. Through these endeavors, I have become proficient with a large set of industry-standard skills, namely:

Unity, Unreal Engine 5, C#, Java, Maya, Zbrush, Slack, Figma, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and more

Using the above skills, I can adapt to and work efficiently with any task. I am always looking to learn new things and grow as a designer. I thrive when working in teams, with a passion for the project at hand which is carried into my individual work too!

My Dog…?

It wouldn’t be a proper “About Me” page without some help from my fluffy friend Peri.

Named after the short-lived Cartoon Network show Spliced, Peri is a Border Collie, Poodle, Schnauzer, Grey Hound mix. In other words, he’s a “Pet-me-lots”.

If you’re wondering, yes. He is a distinguished gentleman.
